A blueberry almond smoothie is the perfect start to your day! If you’re looking for a smoothie recipe that’ll keep you running throughout the morning, and fill you up with delicious, NO-SUGAR-ADDED fruity flavor, this blueberry almond smoothie recipe is right up your alley!
I’ve made a lot of smoothies in my day, and many of them had more “curb appeal” than this one, but I don’t think any of them tasted as delicious as this blueberry almond smoothie does.

I honestly think the key to taking the flavor over the top with this blueberry almond smoothie recipe is that I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk to make it. WHY did I wait so long to jump onto the almond milk train? It’s freaking delicious!

To make it even healthier, I didn’t add any extra sweeteners. The only thing that sweetens this smoothie up is one container of light yogurt and the fruit.  I added vanilla whey protein powder to mine to make it fill my stomach a bit more, but that’s completely optional. The thing I really love about smoothies is that they’re so easy to customize.  If you like ’em thick and creamy like I do, stick to my recipe.  If you like yours to have the consistency of ice cream, add more ice!  Want it thinner?  Just add a bit more almond milk.  See?  SUPER EASY, and it can be made up in less than 3 minutes.  What’s not to love about that?!

    1. Laura, I use a protein powder called “Pure Protein”, and trust me when I say that I understand your concerns about the cost involved! I bought a HUGE jar of it at Sam’s Club for half the price that it sells for at the nutrition shops like GNC. If you email your address to me (or shoot me a Facebook message), I’d be happy to send you some of mine to see if you like it before you invest in it (SERIOUSLY!)

  1. Looks so delicious. I’m off to the store to look for Creamsicle Yogurt, how did I not know that’s a flavor?

    1. Oh my gosh, it’s SO flippin’ delicious! If you can’t find the Yoplait “Whips” Creamsicle flavor, there’s a Yoplait light flavor called “Orange Creme” that also works, but it can’t be frozen, so you’ll have to add a little more ice to make your smoothie thick
