Oranges, lemons, and limes are an excellent source of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals throughout the body. Look for fully ripened fruit with bright, glossy color and blemish-free skin.

Citrus fruit should be stored tightly in a plastic food storage bag if it won’t be used up within 4 or 5 days of purchase or picking. After they’ve been cut, citrus fruits should be kept in a plastic food storage bag and used up within 1-2 days.

Lemons are a wonderful source of Vitamin C, so when life gives you lemons…SQUEEZE ‘EM!
